This is my first post and I know a lot of this has been covered a lot, but there are many opinions floating around and its hard to make a final decision. I picked up a '90 tsi with 34k original miles. Rot and dent free which was the only reason why I picked it up, I just couldn't pass it by. I drive a full bolt on '14 Evo that I love to death but would love to rev that thing more. I don't wanna blow up my 36k car and since the engine was already out of the tsi the build is on.

I have gone through the whole build in my head and on paper just to make sure everything is going to go ok the first time. here is the list FWIW

wiseco 1400hd 10.5 comp (e85 build) .20 over- machine shop has torque plate to get cylinders 100% round
crower I-beams-still not set on these, will research aluminum rods better.
acl tri meatal bearings
arp main studs
kiggly griddle
l19 head studs
not decided on mls gasket, oem or cometic?
kelford 272's
super tech dual springs or kiggly behives

Now I have read of the head over filling issues caused by pump over 8k rpms. kiggly HLA is deffinatly on the list, as well as the oil return mod on the head and planning on running the block vent breather system.

I'd like to know the best way to deal with potential gforce sloshing in the oil pan causing cavitation. It seems like an aftermarket oil pan like moroso is a logical answer, but at 500-600 bux id like to make sure its going to do its job and protect my engine as much as possible.i have also seen the tomei baffle and "oil cutter" kits sold, which seem very promising, but does anyone know if those will fit with the kiggley griddle?

im shooting for 600awhp, as reliably as 600awhp can be.im not trying to run a 5500 dollar dry sump setup, just trying to get the best oil system setup for a reasonable price.I already have in hand fb black turbo, fp manifold, full buschur dp and exhaust, and ecm link v3. Id love to hear from some of the guys that have gone this route. The plan is to drive this car to the track 1hr away and back about 4-5 a year but mainly have fun with it on the street.

You may want to look into this: http://kiggly-racing.com/oil_pumps

Modifying the oil pickup would certainly help considering your setup. I don't believe Kiggly sells this and it is a DIY mod. I think the underdrive oil pump pulley English sells may be the ticket to keeping more oil in the pan--I have not found too much info. I think it takes considerable stress off the oil pump at high rpm as well. I would like to hear how all these parts work together in a 9,000 rpm build i.e., HLA, Oil return in head/relief port, block vent, etc....as I am considering a high rpm build as well.

I actually ran into that link last night, and it would be relatively easy to make. I doubt ill be cutting 1.3 60' and lower, so this might suffice. obviously data logging oil pressure will be very important. I also considered doing a long rod setup, to keep lower stress on the bearings.id love to hear more feedback on high hp setups.

do you know if it will fit with the kiggly main griddle?
You'd have to check with the company but the only issue I can think of is that the main studs may not be long enough to have both. I'm not sure how much slack ARPs have on a 6 bolt, on my 7 bolt it was fine, but since you'd be bolting the girdle down to it'd be worth it to ask.

Give me a minute and i'll show you the picture of my 7 bolt set, and link to the 6 bolt picture.

Here's the third piece. I modified mine because I wasnt aware there were two slightly different revised 7 bolt bottom ends, but as far as I know that's a 7 bolt issue only. I just drilled holes where that was to correct it.

Here's a link to the 6 bolt picture:

Hmm now that I look at it the three piece may possibly intefere partially with it. That'd be something to look into for sure, the owner is very nice and I bet he'd modify a design to work with it. Since the 7 bolt doesnt need anything else I didnt bother in my build.

thanks for taking the time to post pictures, I will dig into this matter more and post back my findings.

Sorry, I'm pretty sure that crank scraper will not work with our main girdle.

Yes im beginning to realize they will not work together. Most logical option would be to fab my own baffle.

Perhaps get ahold of the owner and see if he'd be willing to make a modified model that is able to coexist with it. If you had the girdle sent to him so he can mock it up he may do that. I'd just explain that the Kiggly girdle is a very popular piece and that would be a good option for a large majority of 6 bolt owners with built blocks. His products are very high quality, and for the price he charges it's a steal.

I'm thinking part of the issue here may be both the length of the main studs and how that would effect oil pan fitment. It would be nice to know for sure...no doubt a great piece for high rpm in conjunction with the girdle.
