Well title pretty much says it all. Im running a 16g now, but will be upgraded to a gt35r. The three I am looking at are the redesigned JMF, the Magnus, and the Venom. I have seen all these reach into the 10's, but am just looking for input from all you guys. Personal experiences would be the best, especially with how they affected MPH and ET's. Thanks.

Edit: I forgot to mention there were 4, the other one is on ebay, but looks pretty nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mits...004QQitemZ140118270786QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

The ebay unit looked interesting..but it gives you know pictures of the work inside (where it counts) . the other manu. are well known and have not heard anything bad about them besides VENOM.. That was just realted to price. I like the redesigned jm manifold. I wonder if Wilson would make a 4g63 manifold?.. They make some of the BEST SMI i have seen.!

I have a magnus for my 1g and it is very nice... I'm probably biased, but magnus gets my vote... that ebay intake isn't worth the hassle, there is proven intakes for cheaper

I actually thought about porting my factory one, but I also want to clean up the engine bay. By going with an aftermarket one, I will be able to eliminate EGR and all those other vaccuum lines and just keep the couple I need.

I also have an automatic so idk about the venom, because that flows worse mid, but higest upper end (according to the old dyno comparison). I think the ebay one would flow better mid end because of the shorter runners, plus it has a built in elbow. I dont think its too cheap because I saw that same style used on a 240sx in one of my SCC magazines.

I have seen both the JMF and the Magnus on the dyno and the power difference between the two and pretty similar. Both are also well designed pieces either one of those two would be a good choice. :thumb:

Short runners are better for top end not low/mid. Longer runners help keep the velocity of the air up at lower engine speeds. Top end doesnt need to worry about keeping the velocity up since your then making the velocity. The stock manifold out performs just about every aftermarket one in the low/mid range and it certainly doesnt have short runners.

Just because you see something in a magazine doesnt make it a quality product not too mention with shipping its 50% more in price than the other proven one's you listed. I vote JMF simply because Jim does quality work and his customer service is top notch.

Thanks for correcting me. And also, I think I will go with the JMF.

Runner length statement has already been corrected but just because it looks like an intake mani that you saw in a SCC mag, doesn't mean its the same intake. Think about all the other knocked off products you see on the net nowadays. This is the same, a knock off of a good/expensive intake mani. For that price you can get a JMF mani, that has actually been proven to be of excellent quality & real R&D went into it, not just copying what someone else's mani looks like.

Looks like you'll be making the right decision :thumb:

The venoms i have dealt with have trouble once the boost gets turned up, blowing welds ect, and this has on good tunes, so if you are looking to ever run the manifold at boost levels of 30-35ish i would go with one of your other choices.

Have you considered the ams manifold?

Its a little too pricey for my budget.
