I was interested in using a 2G head & Evo 3 Intake manifold combo and wanted to know what people think about this setup, pros and cons

I hear that the 2g head flows more than the 1g head, not sure about the evo3 intake manifold though.
The Evo 3 intake/2g head is a great street combo. The smaller ports of the 2g head keep the velocity up, aiding lower end torque, yet still flow enough to be wound tight. The Evo3 intake has a bigger plenum and shorter runners than a 2g intake. This will allow it to make power higher up in the rpm band. It's a nice comprimise between the 6500rpm cuttoff of a stocker and the lack of low end a SMIM would typically have.
But keep in mind that the cam and turbo selection are generally going to have a greater effect on powerband than the intake selection.
It's not so much that it flows better. Its that the ports are better designed for a street car, meaning wider powerband. They are smaller which helps velocity and improves VE.
I know there are hyundais that came with the 4g63 and have intakes that look like 1g I'm trying to figure out which ones look like the EVO 3 intakes there is a pic of one on tuners but can't find it any longer. It has a mpd sensor port but still has the same coil pack mounting and what not.
