Here's my setup:
57 trim 23-25 psi e85
Built head 264/264
Stock 7 bolt

Money not really an issue, I believe the gasket went bad because at one point the car was adjusted and me being dumb went out racing but I was running a metal flat out gasket before for like a year that gasket cost me like 150$

I second this. OEM or Felpro with some headtuds will probably hold more power than your stock bottom end. :p

I don't know if you know what your talking about because I take real good care of the car, I made 372whp on pump gas on 21 lbs. and still the motor very healthy , I'm gonna shoot for 400 on 25 lbs and e85 now

It wasn't an insult, he was saying that the headgasket headstud combo suggested would probably far exceed your HP potential until you upgrade your bottom end.

People have made upward of 450hp on the stock headgasket with studs. I think the stock 7-bolt DSM record is somewhere around there. So I'm not taking a stab at you, merely pointing out how strong the stock headgasket can be.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say. :D

Unless you plan to have the Block decked (head always should always be surfaced if there is ANY runoff) and know for a fact that your machine shop can get the required RA finish to run a MLS stay with a Felpro or OEM composite copper sprayed with Arp head studs.

That combo will be good for your goals...

If you want to go a step farther I'd say L19's but for the price and goals I'd say that would be fine...

About the only thing that will hold up more IMHO is a Felpro Perma-Torque with L19's as that's about the best combo but you need a PERFECT surface and it's not a budget friendly combo at all... .

Gotta have studs, youll be happy with your set up oem, or felpro. just had my head and block decked, looking for some nice runs, and reliability.

The 6bolt that is in my car, before was in a 1g laser fwd and had a Borg Warner S362ett, it made 513whp @29psi on e85.

That was with stock bottom end, arp's and a mitsu mls head gasket, still running strong.

Mitsubishi MLS always has and will be my choice.

I run a Felpro Permatorq (composite) and it's great. I swapped out my OEM MLS gasket due to the mating surfaces not up to par.

I would HIGHLY suggest getting the basic ARP studs at a minimum while the head is off.
