what about maf-t and safc combo? wouldnt that be a good deal for the price also?

Nice job on the search feature there :thumb:

With the new Maft setup, an safc isn't necessary. You can now fine tune the higher rpms precisely with an alternate setting on the maft.

If you havent touched engine management yet, I would pop open your ecu and check to see if its an eprom.

If it is, DSMlink is a very good option. It is very user friendly, and simple to use compared to the emanage.

If you don't have an eprom , figure out what you want to do with your car(if you haven't already), then open up the wallet ;)

problem with the Greddy E-manage though is that most of the options can not be accessed unless you are an authorized Greddy dealer.. so you cant change your own stuff

Can anyone clarify this or add to it? How accurate is this information? Does the dealer have special software that I can't get my hands on or something?

That info is no longer valid. It WAS something against the emanage at the time of release. Apparently Greddy knew it was hurting sales and released it to anyone who would like to purchase it. I guess it was a spoof to scare off folks who werent too keen on tuning.

You can order the support tool from vendors of the emanage for around 150ish (price might have come down since I bought mine a few years back) and I know there are reverse engineered cables floating around on the market. The support tool can be downloaded from mohdparts.com

Funny thing is this thread is old, and I have been running DSMlink since 05 and would recommend it over the emanage anyday. Yes, I <3 DSMlink.

I do miss one function of the emanage though....... the additional injector function. It was the shiznit.
