Best brake upgrade options for stock 16" wheels

I did some searching and saw my best option is a 2g rotors and calipers.. But most of the posts were 8+ years old. Are 2g brakes still the best option if I want to keep my stock 16" wheels?

are the areas outlined in pink where I'll need to shave down for proper clearance? I assume so, since I'm pretty sure that's the side that faces out/toward the wheel.

I can't be sure where you'll need to shave the calipers (depends on the design of the inner "spokes" of your rims), but you are correct that the portion outlined in pink does face outward towards the inner surface of the rim.

Got my stainless steel 2g conversion lines, rotors and calipers in the mail this week. I have to get them mounted up to see exactly where to shave the calipers, then I'm going to shave them down and paint them. Probably blue, I'm not sure yet.

Roger on the caliper paint! I'm leaning towards basic silver now. I didn't order them from auto parts warehouse, the lowest price I found ended up being ebay.

Every place I looked had a core charge (which makes sense). But since I didn't have a cailper to return I went with these, since the brackets and mounting hardware are included. I should have them installed this week, I'll post some before and after pictures and mark this thread resolved when it's all finished.
