What is the best setup I can put on my car (still has the single piston calipers up front) and still be able to use the OEM wheels?

Will that particular setup be "OK" for extended track use (as in track days of 30-40 laps (1.2 mile circuit)?

Or am I better off going with other wheels and getting a Baer or Stoptech type setup?

What is the best I can do with the rear?

i did stoptech drilled rotors and VGX brake pads and SS brake lines front and back shoulod do ya good......

but it never hurts for a lil overkill as long as you will do something with it

I have a 1G... and our OEM wheels are tougher to fit brake kits under...

My first option is to leave the OEM wheels (at least for now) and get whatever is best under there... BUT... if you guys tell me that I would be wasting money and I might as well get one of the mentioned brake kits from the getgo... I guess I would do that.

I live by the bang for your buck policy... so if I can have a decent stopping car and keep the "OEM" look... then that would be great... but if I will see a 2 fold performance increase in another setup and have to go with aftermarket wheels then I would consider doing that.

in my opinoin....MY OPINION not my expertness telling you cause i really dont know from experience

the benefits of a track tested system such as baer, aem, or other systems is going to be worth the purchase in the long run if you are going to really run on a track....thast my opinion

for stock wheels you can go with the dual piston calipers from the 93-94 AWD's

Yes I have considered that, but I keep wondering how thatsetup compares to Baer,Stop tech and the other BBK out there? The way I see it, going with the dual piston setup and some power slot rotors (for rear and front), SS brake lines, HP pads and fluid... it will probably run me about $500.

An aftermarket kit and wheels will run about 5-7 times that. So the question is... will the price difference be compensated with that much more performance?
