My 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX is stock, and I was hoping to put some parts into soon. I was wondering if I could get some insight on which brand of parts I should get. I was looking to get a intake pipe and air filter combo, as well as intercooler piper and a blow off valve. I am not looking for the best or worst of these parts, just some decent parts to get me started. Any experience you guys could lend me would be helpful. Also any suggestion on ATF fluid?

Check out the supporting vendors on this site. They will have plenty of those parts for you to choose from.

For the air filter the K&N is probably the most tried and tested and good bang for the buck. Dejon Tool seems to be a popular intake pipe although I have the Injen. I would just get whatever is cheapest unless you're after a certain aesthetic value. A 1G BOV will work quite well but doesn't have the bling factor.
One word of advice. You will get a lot of different opinions on a question like this. Use your own common sense and do some searches so you don't just buy into some hype. Frankly, if I could mod my car all over again, there is a lot that I would have never done. Spent a lot of money on things that gave me very minimal gain because I bought into some good marketing or heresay. Oh well, live and learn.:thumb:

Hahaha, yeah me too:thumb:. It's about smart purchases, I just got my second Talon and the first one is where I learned from all my mistakes. :)
