Hey I'm new here I have a 95 eclipse gsx. Great car I want to start upgrading it. Cars basicly all stock. It has b&m short shift, k sport suspension, straight downpipe and some other things. But its mainly stock. I'm getting a 16g turbo that's coming out of my friends evo and I know i m gonna need other stuff like timing belt, injectors and other stuff I'm not sure of and I was wondering if anyone can help me out and guide me to a place where I can buy this stuff and I'm trying to get ahold of a intercooler and a greddy type s bov

I'd start with exhaust (if id doesnt already have it) your right about timing belt bov and 16g... heres a link iv seen posted on here 2g Go Faster Pages it should help alot just read through it and it should help you with first few steps in a 12 sec 1/4:thumb:

The evo turbo won't work? Yes already got exhaust done. And my buddy is telling. Me my car doesn't have. Wideband. I have a boost gauge and a a/f gauge but I don't think the a/f gauge works cause it always all the way to the right saying rich.

No the evo turbo wont work without pretty extensive mods. You can make it fit but it is pretty expensive to do.

Heres a link to a similar thread about putting an evo 8 turbo on a dsm

Id suggest a 16g of some sort( big 16g,small 16g,evo3 16g) supporting mods(injectors, fuel pump, and a tuning system) Makes for a great daily driver at not too bad of a price.

Don't just throw a bigger turbo on and a bov and think it will be fine though!

best advice I can give you is to take your time in developing a guide for yourself as to what you want as the goal for the car. Then do research on what parts will get you to that goal and finally take your time purchasing quality parts and doing the work right. These aren't hondas where you can bolt any garbage on and just replace the engine for 500 if it blows. These are autos that really need tons of care and careful thought. I bought my 99GsT almost 2 years ago. Never driven it but only because I'm doing all my research and purchasing carefully. Hope my advice helps.

They sell 16g install kits to bolt an EVOIII turbo to your DSM. However I'd start focusing on getting the regular maintenance outta the way. No point on bolting on all these toys, only to have your timing belt snap in the middle of the freeway! Looks like you have a few items already to start your project. I'd suggest upgrading your clutch and flywheel. Also like mentioned above, look into a full 3" exhaust. One of the key things is to invest in DSMlink. This will be your best friend, cause more importantly, it boils down to how well you tune your car to get the results you want. I believe there's an upgrade path on this forum to help you get started as far as bolt on parts are concerned. RRE's link is loaded with info, to help you out as well. It sure helped me :thumb:

the evo 8,9 or x wont work on your gsx but if is a evo 3 16g them yes, but you need bigger injectors, a walbro 190l at least, dsmlink of safc. Most important maintenance chagrin that timing belt and buy only OEM parts, the only after market timing belt i would use well I use gates racing Kevlar belt or hks or Greddy timing belt and don't forget to change your waterpump.

Yeah most the guys on here have some really good write ups on different things they do to there cars. I would check out some of them and mach v and slowboyz racing are some great places to start.
