beeping noise when i open the door (not anti-theft system beeping)

Ok, it hasnt done this before and just started today, when i open either door, i get a beeping noise, it sounds like the turn signal noise, and no, the signals are off, and also the ashtray light blinks, it does their for about 15 seconds, and happens again everytime u open and close the door, etc. The only things i have done to the car today was take out the passenger seat(non power). I dont think that could be the reason, but maybe it is. Any ideas of what the problem could be? Thanks for the help. Oh, and its a 1996 Eclipse RS with no alarm system or power door locks or anything put in it yet.

Do the foot lights, ignition key light, or dome light (rear view mirror lights if sunroof) go on while this is happening? Does the ignition key have to be in? Happen with either door? The ashtray light doesn't fit anything unless someone perhaps rewired it to the wrong place. How often does it blink? Bright or dim? I'm thinking possible malfunction in the dome light fader, ignition key reminder, seat belt reminder since it stops after 15 seconds.
