2g restrictor? wth? beeping noise?

so i got the 95 gsx a/t i have a boost gauge and some cheap black plastic looking boost controller near the firewall on the drivers side, well my full boost shows on my gauge at 16-17 at full throttle, also someone told me i might have a restrictor on mine, when i floor it, and i hear a beeeeeeeeeeeep not beep beep beep, but continous annoying beep sound and it goes away after bov vents and thats when i let go of the gas, not sure what it is, i have a sony cd player and amp installed, but it was doing the same thing when i bought it when it had no radio or any other fancy stuff

also it sounds like its comign from the passenger side, when i have the hood open and its in park and idling, and it does its random idle surge, like it go to 2000, it starts going beeeeeeeeeeep, and near the fuse box but sounds like from under there

I've had boost leaks that sound like either a whistle or a kazoo, are you sure its not a leak somewhere?

im trying to locate if i have any, wouldnt i loose some power and notice if i had a boost leak, i bought this vacum pump that can either pump in up to 30psi or suck up 30psi, were would i hook that up to do a boost leak test?

search boost leak test, I'm sure that will answer your questions.

Im surprised it hasnt been noticed yet but the black plasitc thing that you belive to be your boost controller is more than likely your fuel presseure solenoid and not a boost controller. And that is were your boost gauge is more than likely tapped into also. But as stated above do a boost leak test, youll have to build a tester and get a air tank or a good air compressure

No messing with it if its your fuel pressure solenoid want make a difference. The top that turns doesnt do anything

are your talking about the cold start solinoid?

and bad idleing is a surefire sign of a boost leak,

that beeping noise is a wierd one though

yea ive been messing with that thing, ops, also i got 3 engine codes, one is the idle air control valve, again, throttle position sensor, and egr vault c malfunction

The BOV leaking sounds just like how you're describing the sound, and it is located right next to the fuse box. I would pretty much guarantee that's what you're hearing. I can hear mine make that sound sometimes when I let off the throttle a bit, but you should not hear it at full throttle because that means it is leaking out boost.

If you have the stock 2g one, get a 1g one fitted on your car. 2g BOV's can't hold more than stock boost, they maybe can't even hold stock boost.

My 97 does a strange "weak beep" noise from time to time. I thought it was drivetrain creeping noise but its not that. It will last up to 10 seconds sometimes.

mines a 1g, thats what he said, also i have it on the lift now, lots of rust under it, under the turbo it says GARRET, and i got 2 FUEL PUMPS, im discovering more stuff everyday about this, also tokico gas shocks with eibach springs, my rear sway bar is COMPLETE RUST, my brake lines weer rusty, not leaking but i undercoated them to prevent them from rusting any more

i got a big dent on top of my blow off valve, also running 16 pounds but sometimes when i floor it, and it has a lot of boost, it doesnt really go that fast, then sometimes when i do hit it, it'll take off and throw me back
