There is a bearing like a long stick that is connected to the oil pump pulley.(inside short block) I cant get it out no matter how hard i tried. What is it for anyways? My oil filter popped out and car lost all of the oil. Oil pump pulley cracked in to 5 pieces. I cant get the oil pump out because of this bearing. What can i do to fix this problem? other than buying whole new engine.

Sounds like your rear balance shaft. It has to be pulled straight out. If the engine is still in the car the engine needs to be tilted as far as possible. Good luck.

Once i take it out, what can i do to fix my problem? some guy told me to replace my engine because of this problem. Is he right or is he talking BS? I dint want to replace my engine. Any help appreciate.

i have a small plug for oil pump, but can i leave fron BS untouched? (talking about balance shaft elim.)

how long was it running with no oil? If the bearings are still good, you prob dont need a new engine, drop the oil pan and look for pieces of bearing...
