"pr0 shit, what are you going to do?"

felt like shooting myself

I'd keep it..
New dash... CF hood... New engine... Really rebuild Etc
Its easier to salvage that then a hard unibody hit.... Alot easier...
Even a stock hood from a RS-GS..... from a yard etc.... But CF you could get away with not painting it...

i have the stock hood in my house, but i neeed alot more then a engine clutch, everything in engine is gone is it possible ?

I probably replaced all those parts and never had a fire....

Hoses, belts, etc.... New Salvage yard=.... plastic.. Wire harnes.. etc..

well i just talked to the lawyer he is going to see what we can do i guess we r going to try to sue him and he will sue vision of speed the place that installed everything, this place is owned by a bunch of fools

MNGSX Visions on weed.

LOL yea i bet they were, my old gsx they put the front springs on back and and rear on front this place is the worst i should of known not to buy a car that they worked on, but i sold my eclipse and really wanted it OMG

hey, if you decide to chop the car send me a message. i'd like to pick up the drivetrain. it'd be a local pick up anyway coz i'm from NYC. i always wanted to make my SPYDER GST a GSX. so let me know... sorry about your loss. and good luck with your law suit.

....i figured maybe loose termnal i finally arrived checked battery and was fine i thought maybe casue i was vented or something...

maybe we should tell the dumb people that keep coming on here and asking if they can vent to atmosphere that this is what happens to your car...

Or if you side step the clutch at 6500+ that the disk starts burning and keeps going once parked :p

Running rich/ hot spark plugs/ hot whatever else that could spark it.....who knows. It would be a freak accident if it did cause it. I have never herd of something like this happening.

no man.. it was just a joke, and no, venting didn't do that. it's just that once you hang around here longer, you'll see that people come on here ALL the time asking if it's ok to vent their bov's and ask what would happen if they did.

yea i just think the e man was set up right, listen to this when driving and say u let off the gas doesnt the boost gauge read like - 15 to -20 my gauge would read like -20 vacum but the e man would read -9 weird huh

i c LOL yea i noticed that, i am just trying to figure wtf happened

Rear mount battery?

If so is there a fuse on the terminal?

Fuel pump rewire front mount battery? Fuse on the fuel pump wire.

If the answer is no it could have done it.

my best guess would be a combination of electrical fire or sparks and old fuel lines. same thing happened to this kid's civic. he was just reving his engine and it burst into flames. either way, it's a sad loss.... sorry man.

Why didn't you have the proper insurance on the car? Your crazy for not insuring your car properly so don't cry too bad, really thats your own fault. Don't say cause it's too expensive cause I'm willing to bet you would gladly pay the cost of that for one year right now if you could knowing they would fix the car.

This is a really good example of why you should always insure your car properly, make sure you have fire and theft and comp on the car minimum. If you want collision it costs but is also a good idea considering.

With that being said, you can salvage your car. Just drop a 6 bolt into and re-do the wiring from a wrecker car. You will have a lot to do but it can be done. Pull the dash out and make sure that everything behind it is ok. I have a feeling that all the wiring behind the dash is totaled. If thats the case then you should just sell it for as much as you can get and move on. Engine wiring is one thing, but that and ALL the wiring behind the dash, thats a whole other story. Getting that fixed and working is a lot of work. Even when you have it done you will have electrical gremlins that take a long time to work out.

IF you get a whole dash and loom from a donor car... I don't think it will be that bad.

Get everything on the inside of the firewall in the effected area.

what DSMJim said well i ddint even know about compehtion, they didnt tell me about that that just said if i wanted collision and i figured if i chashed i would be dead or get a body kit didnt figure a fire woul;d ever happen, and #### it i am not fixing it its a waste of time, i'll just take my lost and maybe get another dsm in the future

on ####en believle so it took the damm fire people like 20 min to come and they put it out,

That sucks sorry about your loss...I pulled into my friends driveway the other day, parked, went inside and his dad goes "Whoever just pulled in their car's smoking...I think its on fire" OMG Went and checked and some oil had leaked out of the head and ended up burning up on the manifold. And as far as the firefighter responce, do you have a full time department or volunteer/paid on call? If it's volunteer/POC remember that the guys have to drive to the station after hearing the call come in.(I'm a POC) If I ever showed up to a car fire that involved a 1g or 2g eclipse, I would  Now if it was a 3g, I might :D :p J/k.... :shhh:

yea. the only thing i regret is not trying to put it out i had like 3 fire enstigliher(cant spell it) near by and i just watch it burn i feel some stupid, at leat I could of taken my brand new 300 radar out which i did and is gone, life seems so pointless now

I'm also interested in getting the vehicle, whole, let me know. I sent you a PM

No. You had a massive short-circuit someplace that closed again after you parked.

So much for the effed-up shifter threads.

Sorry about your car.
