Mod list on my profile is current. Installed a Gen 2 MAFT with a new 3 inch MAF and looking for some base tun advice. Did the initial setup and as per posts i could fing sent my Main to -12.

I have a datalogger on the way which will help greatly in getting this thing tuned up and running.

Looking for advice on a base tune as I need the car driveable soon. Other applicable info.

Stock Injectors - Stock Turbo (14b) - Stock ECU (non chip)

Thanks for any help.

Your main scale should not be at -12 is should be at 0, if you're looking for a base tune.

When you set up your translator, you choose the options that are applicable to your vehicle, once that's done you turn the key to off and once the translator turns off, you turn the key to the on position and that is your base setting, basically everything at zero.

I haven't checked your profile, but unless you have a wideband, I wouldn't mess with the tuning. You'll be guessing the whole time.

He doesn't have a logger either, so how is he supposed to see his fuel trims?

And a wideband tells you more then just your afr at wot, it tells you your afr the whole time your engine is running.

I had to set it to -12 to get it to idle ... a rough idle but an idle. I hoping to be able to dial things in once i get my logger.

How can you set it to 0 and expect the car to run with the newly acquired less restrictive air flow or higher volume of air? You have to compensate somewhere...

I would recommend a logger for sure. Running rich will be noticable but running lean can do damage before the symptoms are noticed

I have my main scale set at 0 and it idles perfectly, so yeah, maybe you're not sure what you're talking about.

Less restrictive flow? The only less restriction would be if you didn't put a filter on you're turbo, which is pretty dumb. So what exactly are you talking about, once again, maybe you're not sure.

 Hes running rich at -12 im no tuning guru but if he increases the setting to 0 hell be running so rich the car wont start as he stated.

You car and his car arent the same. You can assume they are in the same condition etc.

To the OP do you have the GM MAF facing the correct direction?

Yes ... It even has a nice arrow on it showing the flow direction
