Ok so i have believe that i have a bad turbo seal! I believe this because we found oil residue in my intercooler piping!! WTF Also there is some up and down shaft play but no in and out. What do you guys think? Thanks

Supremedsm :talon:

I have the same problem. Oil in the piping and intercooler and also on the lip of the intake side of the compressor. The seal is bad and I think that is the only part between the compressor area and the oil path. What turbo?

Not many people are going to answer your question.Me personally have answered this same question 3 or 5 times in the last month or so.Use search before posting a thread.Even if you used it and seen there wasn't a straight answer there never will be.Trial and error are the only way to fix your problem and everyone is just going to tell you the same thing that's on the threads. It gets old answering the same questions over and over and overROFLGood luck.Use search before posting threads in less its something you know that is new and has never been posted,And i bet you'll find your answers and get the problems fixed faster.

If it's oil on the intake side of the compressor housing it's likely caused by blow-by. Look into getting an oil catch can.

^ What he said. These are old cars and tend to build up oil sludge everywhere possible. Get an oil catch can and clean your intercooler pipes with simple green or if not use gasoline, it worked for me and left my pipes clean.

Why is it necessary to be so negative and chew a new guy out about a new guy mistake? Instead of telling him you answered it 3 or 5 times elsewhere, why not answer it once more? Remember the times when you didn't know anything about your car and asked a question for the thousanth time and how you didn't like the smart a$$ answer? Now don't be that guy but instead be helpful and patient. That's all any of us that have little experience and need help want. Apparently our cars consistently have the same problems so be prepared to answer a question quite a few times. Who knows, you may become an expert on the subject.

I have the big 16g turbo on my talon. It has not a tremendous amount of shaft play but it is there. And i also have oil spots on my compressor side as well. Funny thing is this is a new turbo. Ill have to call the company and talk to them about a replacement! Thanks for the advice.

Usually when your seals are blown, you'll notice abnormal smoke exiting your muffler.
I have a PT67, and it's saying goodbye to me right now.

There was no ignorance intended in my statement.Take it as you will but with three answers on this thread if they ain't his problem he will be turning to the other threads for answers. And i was laughing when i said it gets old cause after awhile the same thing always gets old in this world. You categorized me of being an A$$ when your on a computer and have no tone of my voice so no proof of what mood i was presenting.:tease:Seems like I'm not the one being an a$$.Read the threads bro i was being blunt not ignorant you will learn much more and it will educate you for the future.Id rather get straight to your solution then be sentimental and think about feelings and sugar coat stuff ROFL Id rather give you more tools to achieve your goal and learn more. You see not many people replied to the thread. If it wasn't me that said its been answered many of times and you should search the threads it would of been someone else.So i just took the heat of someone trying to be the good guy off someone else.I was in your shoes and still am at times. But if its on here read it.What are you going to do learn more then you needed to?LOL There isn't nothing wrong with that. That's how i learned by someone saying use the search before you ask the same thing that has been answered.I searched everything from there on out and just kept reading.Good luck dude i hope you get your problem fixed.
