I cant seem to find a buyer for my car.... plenty of trades but not a buyer yet. I thought people would be all over this.

is there something I am doing wrong or is it just a bad time to sell?

I LOVE the car , wife needs something SHE can drive right now we have 2 cars both mine and the talon gets driven once a week. it has 60k , yes 60k on it and noone has even called offering the idea of cash yet... is DSM tuners not the place to advertize? CL didnt work. I really need a bigger car and this thing has been babied all its life , for a 91 its insanely nice.....

sorry to say but no one is willing to buy if they dont have to right now. I was having trouble selling a accord under bluebook to get make room for my other car. What people have to realize is the economy is not getting better and people who have lived outside their means are now paying for it by selling everything. With everyone selling at once and little buying it will be hard to sell unless that person is looking for it specifically. Gl with the sale and hope it works out.

What are you trying to sell it for? From my experience with selling cars, people will bi*** and moan to you about the price it is set at compared to what KBB lists it at. Obviously no one really sells DSMs based off of KBB prices, but a lot of people will see it as a car that old isn't worth more than a grand.

where is your forsale post?? post a link to it/. how much you asking for the car??

dont have the link it says 1991 DSM closest to new you will find.

I laughed my ass off at KBB. I had a professional appraise my car for 5500 , it also says a 91 5.0 mustang with 60k and all the options lists for 1600 in excellent condition.

google , 1991 DSM kcsr first listing

Trust me a lot of people(myself included) would snatch this up if we could. It's a great deal on a great car.

Another thing to consider is the holidays; so everyone is broke for the most part. Things will pick up a bit come tax time.

^ I sure hope so , one thing I know for sure.

the DSM community is SOOOO much better than the honda scene(No offense to anyone) but the people here are way more mature and realistic :)

Those are kind of my last resort since they cost money :(

hoping someone who is a DSM'er will pick this up for a fun DD or something because its all stock , allways has been stock too, thats one thing that is important about this car is all the proper maintenance was done accordingly and it shows!

hate to see it go to the wrong person

yeah but this is a VERY sought after piece . this is almost a once in a lifetime opportunity .

Trust me if I had the money right now I would scoop that car up from you in a heartbeat....

Maybe you have it in about another year I'll def. buy it LOL....

thanks man I sure hope I dont have it then I really need the cash :D

I am getting plenty of compliments on it though :)

Looks nice but like others said now is a very bad time to sell things especially when dsms never sell for what we think they should anyways. I mean I have this tiburon and I cannot even get lookers when I list it almost $4k under kbb. It's just sad :(

Man, I wish I could find a 99 GSX 4k under kbb. Currenty really looking for a GSX.

WOW!! nice car... This is really tempting to goto the bank and get the money!!! The only thing is I wouldn't know what to do with it!!! (Drive it), (store it), or make it into a race car!!!:hmm:

2 people are giving me the exact same thing , do it ! I mean I would drive till it blows up then race it. enjoy the stockness , not many people can go back to 91 and get what they had then. With this you can !

Let me know my number is 573-424-4459 I have free carfax's and would be MORE than happy to provide one. thanks.

i soooo wish i could pick that thing up... good luck with your sale. this is a very rare car to find in this condition!!.

but my 2g gsx track car won't get replaced... and if i sell my gst DD and complete shell... i wouldn't have enough to pick this up.. LOL damn...

i read your other thread and i am VERY HAPPY to see you turn down a stupid ricer to save a GEM of a car... that is integrity, and you deserve a biga$$ THUMBSUP for that one.

:)

None ever pays us what we want for our cars but just remember that we all love our dsm or else we would not be on here. With that said no one that buys a used car will pay for sweat equity or the tears that you have shed because some part just decided to die and now you have to remove a ton of parts to just get it off. It just goes to show that the old saying still rings true "you will never get your money back for a sleepless night". That was said to me when I tried to sell my car. I got to a point where I just decided to keep it.

thanks man!!!! I love my car like no other! only reason I am selling is because we are moving and we need a more practical car right now , my mirage is my DD but I want something nicer so I am selling my toy to get a nice DD then maybe start a cheap 2g project.

ha BELEIVE ME I have talked to several people and each time I wash it I am like , #### it Ima keep this thing but I need the cash more than a car I drive once a week. thanks for the compliments guys.

I saw you car up the other day, super nice car would definately buy it if I could swing the cash right now but I do think $5000 is too much, you should try to sell it for around $4000 as thats what most clean 1g's usually go for....that or try and see if dave buschur wants it he left a post on highboostforums saying he was thinking about finding a 1g again.

I was in your same situation about a year ago. I was only driving my dsm every now and then, I've got too many vehicles to be honest, and I didn't really need it. I was selling it cheap too! Luckily for me nobody bought it and about a month later I came to my senses and decided to keep it. I'm back to my old self, driving it everyday, dumping money into it, and preparing for my second attempt at the 4g63t swap :thumb:. I'll sell my motorcycle first. My DSM was my first car, I've had it for 7 years now, and I think I just may keep it forever. Crazymcvay has it exactly right a few posts down. Good luck to you whatever you decide, but I think you will forever regret it if you sell it.

its 5000 obo.

mine is not nearly like "most" clean 1g's . according to chrysler I am the lowest mileage 1991 AWD turbo in the service records. I think 5k is fair , but if anyone else objects I am an easy guy to haggle with. I am very laid back guy :coy:

I emailed Dave and asked him , would be an honor for him to own my baby.

If you were closer I would of already made an offer on it. I just don't see it very practical on my end to have to drive that far or get it shipped. For the price its an amazing deal, but it becomes a little less amazing with the distance I would have to go. If something changes in my financial book I wouldn't hesitate to fly out there and drive it back.
