Lately I have been having a crappy idle(some black smoke included). However when I remove the plug for the MAS the car idles smooth. I did hit the top of the mas by accident when i was taking off my cone filter earlier. The plugs have some carbon build up from running rich also. It also could be a bad headgasket as well because the car is burning a small amount of oil thru the tail pipe. The rich condition could be caused by burning coolant making the O2 sensor think the car is lean and making it dump more fuel.

Do you have access to an ODB2 code reader? If not, some chain auto parts stores will do it for free.

In the meantime, make sure all connections btw the MAS and turbo are tight, also all connections btw turbo and throttle body are leak free.

If so, clean your plugs (if fouled) and reset your ECU by disconnecting the (-) battery cable for a bit. This should clear any stored codes relating to the MAS :dsm:
