ok so im not really sure what else to try here..i have a 97gst auto, minor upgrades(fmic, exhaust, mbc) so the other day i was driving home and the car drove like normal leaving work but as soon as i turnd the corner i got on the gas and after being in full boost(14psi) for 3-5 seconds, the car just completly fell on its face, after releasing the throttle and getng back in half throttle car boosted and drove fine 20miles home.Thinking i had a boost leak i lowerd dwn the boost to 8psi....and same results. no visual boost leaks....the maf sensor is the latest thing i replaced cause i did not have the honey combes in the original(noob mistake):ohdamn:,could this be a sign of the new maf sensor giving out aswell i have noticed my idle getng rough when the motor is cold compared to when i 1st installed the new maf?

I probably do not know near as much as some folks here about the MAF.

When you replaced the MAF did you leave the battery disconnected for more than 15 minutes so the ECU would clear out and start fresh with the replacement MAF ?

I can't say for sure about these cars, but on some cars the ECU needs to be cleared when new components are installed .

It is also a surprise that you are not getting a check engine light and some
trouble codes.

Make sure of the obvious - that the plug into the MAF is properly seated and
that the vacuum lines connected to the rubber connector between MAF to turbo are connected also.

you cant rely on visual with a boost leak you should perform one, I seen one guy that had a crack in the intercooler like 6 inches long didnt know until he did a blt!

when i installed the new maf i did reset the ecu.....and after reseting it again it is now picking up on the bad maf sensor.....so now just gotta actual replace the maf..again

and yea i know a visual check for boost leaks is really kinda useless....im in the process of builiding myself a tester....but thanks for the responses
