i have a MBC and i do get boost, but the stock gauge is reading extremely in the vacuum side. my car is running like crap, bogging down under acceleration and missing at idle and cruising. i installed a knock sensor led yesterday and it stays on from the time i crank the car to the time i shut it down. i had the CEL scanned and the knock sensor bank 1 came up, along with the MAP sensor, which is brand new from mitsu., the IAT, and the MAF (both of which should be controlled by the GM MAF translator). my guess is that the car is running shitty because the knock sensor is causing the car to retard timing. if i am correct, does this mean the knock sensor is bad?

put the crank mark to TDC and checked the cam gears, they were lined up as they should be, perfectly. also today i noticed that the stock boost gauge started working like it should but my knock light continued to stay illuminated. now when i first crnk the car, it is off until i give it a little gas and it flashes rapidly then as soon as i let off the gas the light stays solid and will not change under any circumstances.

the lifters are not ticking. im going to have to wait until daylight to see how the knock sensor looks. if there is goo coming out, would that indicate that it is bad? the car has almost 109K miles on it and it is highly likely that the sensor has not been replaced.
