Bad knock sensor?? ***PICS***

Can you tell by looking at this if the knock sensor is bad?? i cut the cord because i have a new one, but was just wondering if anyhting looked wring with it. This is exactly how it came out

Do you have a new one or another one ? There should be a hard black plastic where you cut the wire at .
