Bad idle

Hi my name is Robert I own a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd. And am having problems with my car but I just can't find the problem so am asking for help.
Modifications:
2g maf
Rc550cc injectors
Manual boost controller (10 psi to be in the safe side)
Boost gauge
Deleted the egr and vacuums

The problem that am having with my car is that every time I started with the engine cold I get a bad idle. I let the engine worm up and then it's starts to idle around 1100 rpm my vacuum gauge reads 12 of vacuum gauge so I was wondering what my vacuum sopose to be? And also when am driving its starts to hesitate when am givin it gas. I recently did the timing on it and change the exhaust manifold, and the intake gasket ### my old ones where leaking. I also but new spark plugs(cap at 32), fuel filter. And tried to adjust the biss screw but nothing happen. So right know am just getting frustrated with the car. If anybody could help me out by giving me advice or anything.

Are you tuning with anything? Probably dumping lots fuel with those bigger inejectors making it run richer and idle weird. You need car if you change parts that aren't stock. The stock tune on the ecu is for the parts that are on the car you add bigger inejectors, turbo, cams, all kinda stuff you ganna want to get a tune for that otherwise it wont run right. It's like playing a ps3 game on a xbox shit won't work right. That 550cc injector 2g maf is not all that of a perfect match combo you still ganna need tune it. It's just that those 2 things are about equal. It's like having stilts but 1 little smaller so you going to have to compensate by balancing it out for that just as you would with the injectors maf and tune. Do boost test and check vacuum leaks. Egr block of plate and cap off whatever vacuum lines need caping and check everything is nice and snug.

The only reason I when with the bigger injectors was ### switching from a 1g maf to a 2g maf it requires bigger injectors ### the 2g maf has a greater air flow.

You still need to tune after installing the 550's and the 2g maf.

Am gonna try and get a apexi safc tomorrow while I save for dsm link for my car. But why would the car have a bad idle at cold starts.

On a cold start your car is automatically raising the afr's to get the engine to start till it's warmed up. Having the 550's in, with no way to compensate for them, you are most likely running very, very rich till the engine warms up.

Alright I bought myself a used safc but when I connect it doesn't turn on and I was just wondering maybe I connect it wrong ### when I turn on the engine it doesn't turn on but whe the key is acc. It turns on. Could this mean I have the wires wrong or a bad safc...

Well the safc it turns on if I connect the power and the ground to a 12 volt battery.

If you're only getting 12in/hg vacuum while idling, definitely do a boost leak test. With stock cams and no boost leaks you should be getting around 20in/hg during idle.

Alright I did a boost leak test and found out that my seals from my throttle body where leaking. So I bought a use one from my friend but I notice that the fiav is block off from the bottom should I unblock it or leave it like that? What would happen if I leave it on?

actually the 2g maf and 550cc can be ran without a tune...the 2g maf evens out the bigger injectors...you probably have boost leaks from the throttle body, i had issues where it would idle high after warm up..

My bad I installed the safc the right way I just had two wires mixe up but I got it working. Thanks for the help but my only question is that I bought a use throttle body from my friend and it has the fiav block off should I take it out or leAve it? What would happen if I leave the block off plate on? ### my old throttle doesn't have the block off plate.

I replace the throttle body with a rebuild one I also bought a wideband for it but it reads lean so I bought a 255 walbro fuel pump and am still getting a a rough cold start and am getting tire of it so I was wondering ### else could I check...
