Bad fuel regulator? Goin crazy!!!

I have an older Hahn stage 2 kit on my 99 eclipse gs. I'm Having a problem when the relay for the aux fuel pump is plugged in, the car will not start and run. Witout the relay the car runs fine. I replaced the relay which I found the original one was fine, and also found that all wires are fine. I have no shorts in the wires and fuses are all good. I can't figure this out. I'm thinking the regulator may be bad because when the aux pump is running its not regulating the fuel right. Ill,plug the relay in while the car is running and it dies immediatly. But sumtimes ill start the car with the relay in and it will run fine but die after 10 minutes then not start again until i take the relay out I don't see any vacuum leaks either. I know I won't have enough fuel pressure without the aux pump so I won't drive the car. I'm at my wits end. Spent sooooo many hours trying to figure this out. Any ideas would great. Was hoping someone else has run into this problem. Thank!

What is this auxiliary pump that you are referring to?

It's inline after the stock fuel pump so both pumps are suppose to run. Just before the fuel filter. I guess it's to compensate for the weak stock fuel pump.

My guess since you claim the wiring is fine and the relay is fine would be bad auxiliary pump or reversed electrical polarity to the auxiliary pump. I know nothing about the hahn setup though so just a suggestion. if its running when the auxiliary pump is off but dies when you plug it in makes sense that its restricting fuel while pumping. if that's the case then you might can rule out bad pump. I would check for proper polarity at the pump and relay housing. idk if it can happen this way with this setup but if it can and the polarity is reversed then the two pumps would be pumping against one another causing fuel cutout.

This pretty much has to be the case, the pump is either installed backwards, or the polarity is reversed. I would just remove that crap and install a walbro 255 in the tank.

Yeah I know it's a pretty crappy setup but it's how the kit came about 8 or 9 years ago. That's why I'm just so confused ### it just died out of the blue after all those years of working fine. Nvr thought about the pumps pushing against each other. ###### a good idea to just eliminate the 2 pumps ago go wit the 255. Where u guys suggest I go to pick one up?

Thanks guys for the help so far. I'm gonna pick up a walbro 255 and c what happens.

Ok so I'm looking at the walbro 255 and they have an LPH and an HP model. Which one do I need? I'm assuming the high pressure one (HP) would be the one but I'm not sure because both pumps say they are for non turbo models with turbo. I don't wanna buy the wrong one.

So I got the HP walbro pump and installed it today. Car fired right up and I let it warm up then took it for a quick ride. Everything is looking good. Just need to do a little fine tuning. Thanks again for the advice guys. Hopefully I'm all set now.
