How do you tell if you have a bad CAS? Because my car has been miss firing bad latley especialy at idle and part throttle. I tried swithcing out a coil igniter, coil, and plugs , plug wires, but still have no fix. The o2 shows 139% lean on low th.

Does it run fine at WOT? If you had a bad CAS, I'd say that your car would barely run if at all. Are your plug wires in the correct order? Have you checked your timing? Seems like you've replace almost everything ignition related with the exception of the transistor pack.

The coil igniter and trasistor are the same thing right? It does not miss fire at wot much but, it does feel like somone removed about 30 whp. It runs pretty iffy at idle sounds like a bad mis fire and it cuts out when driving. It also shows 139% lean on low and you can just smell gas like you would not believe when it is running. I checked the timing marks on the timing belt and there all good, timing is at 4* btdc base. I have checked alot of stuff. coolant is clean and so is oil. I really need to figure this out.

I swaped a 90 cas in and set the base timing to 5 and it made no difference. I put the old one back on so I am still miss firing at idle. The funny thing is is it runs great at wot other than the phantom knock that comes and goes. Do you think this could be because of the ecu? I unpluged the plug wires one by one and noticed the engine bogged bad unpluging 4,3, and 2 but, 1 did not change the idle any. Also when setting the timing I noticed that after unpluging the ground for setting the timing the timing did not go back up to 8 deg actual timing it stayed at 5deg btdc. I am going to put in my rebuilt eprom and see if it makes a difference.

What does your compression look like? It's possible you have a burnt valve and your not seeing full compression in that cylinder.

How do your plugs look?

Hey I found out the problem I think. I have all of the bottom injector seals leaking for some reason. The air compressor was set to 25psi line pressure and it was leaking out so fast that the boost gauge read 3psi. I have a feeling that is the problem but, they can't be more than 3 months old so, I will let you know what happens when I get the new bottom and top seals and spacers in.

For future reference, if the logger is showing you are running lean then that points to a fuel issue, in you case injector seals. Ive had a random misfire in cylinder 2 that would show I was extremely rich on the datalogger so I know fuel was still being injected and that was not the porblem in my case.
