backfire then ecu resets?

Well i've been having an issue with my car lately. while i get into partial throttle at times the car has a loud back fire then my ecu resets itself.

I have to pull over to the side of the road and reinstall the tune. After I redo the tune, i get cel's left and right and the car runs bad for a couple of miles , then it learn the tune and drives fine again. I can wot again and the car behaves normal. When this all started it was just i would be loosing the tune.. Then it progressed to causing a missfire. Now my missfire is at 6k rpm's

I have all new plugs , wires , and coil pack. Boost leaks are taken care of.

what could my issue be? Computer itself?

Any ideas?

Is your battery bolted down and an insulator over the + terminal so it can't move and short against the hood or strut brace?

...well... its not tied down right now ... damn I'm going to feel retarded if thats my issue.. ill get back to you guys with my solution.

well... the battery is tied down and all connections have been properly tightened and the car still having this problem.


could it really be that my ecu is really messed up... also ive noticed that a majority of the time it happens when dsmlink is online.
