My back hatch is off to the left just a little (1/2" maybe). Anyone know how to adjust it in any way? It opens just fine, but when I close it, it barely hits and has rubbed off a little paint there. I just want to make it "right". Any ideas?

Half an inch!? That's way off! I would check for damage to the rear quarters and rear end for damage. But you should be able to get it back straight using ktgurl's method. Or if you're really independant like me, you can do it yourself. Good luck!

be careful if you want to do it yourself. the hatch is a lot heavier than you might think it is LOL. i had my step dad helping me put new hatch shocks on and i told him "hold on to it, it's heavy... hold on to it, it's heavy.... make sure you've got it, it's heavy" ... yeah... he almost dropped it on me LOL. "i told you it was heavy!" "well damnit i didn't think it was THAT heavy" s'why i said grab a friend LOL

I haven't found any other damage, that is yet. I'm going to give everything a good look in the next day or two (turbo swap), so I'm going to go thru everything I can think of.

Yes they are very heavy, like she said, be careful. But i'm a little guy and I have removed and installed my own hatch, replaced the hatch struts myself, and adjusted the hatch myself.

well what size cookie do you want? :p sorry i've already had that hatch fall on the back of my head (hence the new shocks) when i was putting a 55lb. bag of dog food in the back. not a fun feeling. i felt safer (or so i thought) having someone help LOL

:hmm: I want a cookie the size of my hood please. :p

power windows? i looked at it, the only thing i could think of is that when it's all the way rolled up it comes slightly off track and then as you're rolling it down it pops back into place. i have no other ideas though

no such cookies around here that size LOL. i did however make some halloween mickey mouse shaped sugar cookies night before last though. my son hasn't eaten them all yet :p

Well you shouldnt offer if you can't step up to the plate. ROFL

That sugar cookie sounds tempting. :hmm:

Just noticed the same thing wrong with mine today. Slightly towards the drivers' side, and rubbing the spoiler...
Just another thing to do tomorrow

Did you put in new shocks. My brother and I did it and we had the strut reversed. Turned out that was the problem. Also make sure the black rubber on the body and hatch line up not hitting each other on the way down. AND YES, THAT TRUNK IS HEAVY LIKE A MOFO.

Nothing new, though am getting new shocks soon, the damn thing won't stay up anymore.
I should probably wait to align the hatch till I get those
