Fitting a hatch in the back of my DSM

Ok so I will be going to pick up a new hatch soon and I was wondering if I could just fold down my backseat and have it fit in the back with my current hatch shutting? The one I'm picking up has a window also.

Looks like if you where to sit it at an angle you would be good. Although your hacht wouldnt close. If you do it that way be sure to put a 2x4 in there so your hactch dosnt bounce up and down an ruin your struts.

You could always strap it down to your roof

2g, I dont know.

I know that in a 1g. It barley fit. Then I just called a friend with a truck.

Well, a 2G hatch is larger than the opening that it covers. Do the math.

And no, it won't fit in most cars back seats either.

Call a buddy with a truck. Or unbolt your hatch, drive there, and bolt on the new one.

Would agree with everyone else... different vehicle

Recently tried to do something similar with an aftermarket hood in my 1g (took a small chunk out of if and couldn't close the hatch).

But good luck if you go for it

I think this might be the best idea if you don't have someone else to pick it up for you.

Holy crap, you have access to a Yukon for it? What in the hell are you asking for? Many here use old Yukon shells for complete car shelters. Holy crap.

No. Sometimes I have access to a Yukon, but If I do want to use it I will have to wait for a day it's not being used. Thats why I was asking.

If it's close by, you could always rent the local Lowes or Home Depot truck pretty cheap....!
