ok so my car runs rich but never ran rich to the point of it backfiring. when it did it i changed the spark plugs and put ngkbpr7es spark plugs in it, i first noticed it backfiring after i went from a stock 1g bov to a Greddy type rs. what could be my problem? i have a built engine, Walbro 255 but stock injectors till i get the money for good tune. i was told if i get a adjustable fpr that will help me out a little bit?

o and it backfires at WOT

What are the rest of your mods? Full list? Recirculating the BOV? Do a boost leak check. How much are you trying to run. Sounds more like fuel cut at WOT.

Yes, get a AFPR that is one of your problems.. Your loading up on too much fuel at wot and your stock fpr cant compinsate for the added fuel!

Talondave is correct, it will help you out. Out of curosity how where the plugs?, all black, white tips, heavy soot?

i am not recirculating the bov. my full list of mods are my engine is bored .30 over wit ross 8.5:1 compression pistons, eagle rods, knife edge crank, hks 272 cams, stock 14b that hits 19psi and i don't even have a after market boost controller on it is that mean its running off the waste gate? but it almost sounds like fuel cut. i do have the walbro 255 but with stock injectors and no tuning at the moment. i have an sx performance fpr that im going to put on. or would it hurt to put a stock fuel pump in my car wit a built engine? like will it lean it out? let me know cause thats the reason im not driving it at the moment

what should my fuel pressure be? isn't it around 44 or 43?

19 is too much. Connect the wastegate to the nipple on the jpipe and run wastegate. Car will feel like new again. Should be 37psi.

k, could i possibly still need a afpr?

o and the spark plugs smelled horribly like gas, and im pre sure they were black
