So I got a used B&M Short Shifter from my buddy because I want shorter throws. I heard when on the car they don't actually shorten the height. Can I get some pictures of them on a 2g because if it looks too high I'm gonna cut and weld it. thanks.

Let me tell you this for a fact, they have the same exact height as a stock shifter. The throws are definitely shorter though. I'd cut it and I'm going to cut my BM as well, just being lazy.

My Neuspeed 2g short shifter is shorter than stock. I hated the fact it would pinch my fingers when I shifted. I couldn't recommend attempting to cut a shifter down on a 2g but thats me. I think B&M realized the stock height is optimal.

Try the B&M at the 50% shorter throw setting. I'm sure you'll be happy, unless you just want a "short" look to it. In that case, just cut the stock one and leave the B&M for someone who wants a stock height knob.

Don't cut the B&M. Sell it on here and get a different one if you want a short shifter.

If you want a Short Throw Shifter then go with the B&M from what I know its the best. I had it on my DSM and I will tell you it was definently a shorter throw but it also made the shifts even notchier than stock. It irritated me to no point. I took it off and sold it for 100$ put the stock one on there and I like it much better. (Car came with B&M on it)

i got a cheap ebay short shifter, it was about a 45 percent shorter throw than stock. i had to do some trimming to keep it from rubbing or hitting anything and to get rid of the looseness on the shifter. i ended up cutting 1'1/2in off (i wanted to lower my radio and but some gauges on top) work out really well. i was going to a B&M but could not afford it at the time, and most likely i wouldn't have modified it. my ebay shifter cost me only $35 so what the hell ;)
