So the only shift knob i like is the Greddy counterweight shift knob and it doesn't fit my new B&M shifter. What is the deal? is it not the right thread cause i'm really pissed. Thanks for the help, i hope someone has a link to where i could get knobs for this kind, thanks again!! im not really pissed just frustrated that it doesn't fit.

I've also noticed that "free shift knob" is a red flag. It means that they are sending you a knob because the oem size will not fit on their ss.

Yes, but if it's the Honda threads, it opens up the world of cheap, plentiful, various Honda knobs. Not really a disadvantage.
And as I said, threads aren't hard to cut, in either the the knobs nor on the shifter.

Well that takes the knob cutting out of the picture if you already have one that is threaded for a dsm since honda is much smaller threads. But you're right- not a big deal if you have the patience to fill it then cut it. Or just get a threaded adapter.

I have just recently installed a new B&M ( not a knock off) short shifter....i used the MOMO knob that fit onto my stock shifter....i had no problems...the MOMO shifters usually come with a bunch inserts so they can fit nice and snug on the shifter...hope this post helps some of you

I didn't like any of the knobs being sold with DSM/Mazda threads, so I grabbed a $5 "titanium" Honda knob and ran a tap into it, right through the threads it came with. I don't plan on opening the sunroof and using it as an attachment point for a Grove crane to lift the car with. It works perfectly, dual threads and all.
