I got a B+M Command flo fuel pressure regulator for christmas and I noticed that on the label it said it was for a 2g. I have seen people running the same regulator on 1g's and i'm just wondering if it is the same install steps. Any suggestions?

I would sell it and buy an actual FPR unit, like the Aeromotive one. But before you install something like that, take it to the dyno and see if you are having any fuel problems. Most DSMs cars dont need an aftermarket FPR, from what im now figuring out. But in my case I need one for my car to run properly. But the B+M on is a add on to the stock FPR, and cannot lower the fuel pressure. So I really dont get the point of it at all, its acts just like the stock FPR but it could be used to run a 255 pump I guess. The 255 most of the time will out flow the stock FPR so thats the only reason I could see for the add on. But the whole point of an aftermarket FPR is to regulate the fuel pressure up and down. Which the stock and b+m can only go up. So why only bandaid a problem, replace it and you wont have any worries. So if you want a good FPR sell that one (I wouldnt even put the B+M one on the car) and get the Aeromotive one if you really need one.

those sucks :thumbdown I've bought one from ebay and it said FPR. When I recieved it the label saids Modifier. Got rip off 50 bucks. That thing don't work at all. Its like a cheap manual boost controler but for fuel. That thing only adjust up and can't go down. Suggest you not to modify it. Keep your stock as is, trust me. A stock new will cost you 60-70 bucks. Sell that shit and buy mine for 20 bucks. My stocks fpr has been modified with that Commandflow and is laying in the garage it didn't work will so I bought Aeromotive FPR. In this case you can have two stocks fpr and one extra incase the modified one sucks.

ppl have run 11's on it... dont diss it I had one on my last dsm... it was cheap and worked well...

and why would you want to turn your fuel pressure down?

When you add an aftermarket pump, ESPECIALLY a high-flow like the 255 Wolbro, you overrun the stock FPR. Your car expects a base fuel pressure of 37(1g)psi, but now you have a base of ...lets say...53psi. You need to turn it back down in most cases.

Similar answers can be found by searching. ;)

You took the works right outta my mouth. :thumb:

After my fuel pump install, my fuel pressure was 23 PSI too high. I knew I needed a AFPR and I almost bought the B&M. Luckily I did a little reasearch first and found that it was a 'modifier', not an adjustable regulator. You can only raise your pressure with the B&M. I bought one of the AEM universal regulators and I turned my fuel pressure back down to stock. :dsm:

but to answer the questions ( noone did ) yes its the same install as the faq you found.
and it will do what it was intended to do . ( turn it up ) and raise your f/p 1:1 to your boost.

anyone wanna buy a brand new B+M command flo? heh im sellin this thing. my 255 that i have waiting to go in will kill my a/f because it'll outflow the regulator. Thats why I wanted to turn the pressure down. Maybe i'll have to get the aeromotive, i assume thats the best bang for the buck out there? thanks for the replies fellas.
