I was wondering if anyone on this site ran a B&M Fuel Pressure Modifier. I got a silver one (if that makes any difference I've seen purple ones before) when I was at a car meet for $20. I was wondering if it would help on my car I have an intake, intercooler, and I'm gonna get a 3" turbo back and rewire my fuel pump. I was also wondering if anyone on this site runs one? Installation doesn't look too bad as it goes where the stock one is.

They will work if you just want to turn your pressure up, but they won't help with over run of the regulator like when you install a 255lph fuel pump. They modify the stock regulator and use the stock return on the regulator. The stock return orifice is too small, and that is why the stock regulator over runs.

Ok thats what I thought. I bought it for only $20 so I thought I might give it try but I guess I won't. I'm working on trying to hit the 13's on the T-25, so I'm not gonna be using an upgraded pump for now. With the stock pump rewired do you think the B&M FPR will be worth it or should I just move up to a 190?

The output volume of the stock 2G pump is very poor, and raising the base fuel pressure will just make it even worse. The B&M FPR modifier is junk. If you buy a 190lph pump, you can probably get by with it for a while if you are trying to jack up the pressure to stretch your stock injectors.
But, how are you going to compensate for the higher flowing injectors? The stock AFR is too rich already, so you must lean it out somehow. What are you going to do about fuelcut?

I'm planning on reflashing my ecu with ceddymods. I'm getting the 2.0 cable and a laptop in a couple months so I have to wait till then. I'll probably put up the $90 or whatever to get the 190 too.

The B&M FPRs were popular a few years back but they have a few issues. I used to run one and if I'm remembering right the use a piece from the factory FPR. The problems came from a combination of higher flowing pumps like the 255 and the regulator itself. The small fittings that are reused from the factory get overrun from the higher flowing pump and the base fuel pressure cannot be lowered to where it needs to be. This creates problems at idle and low boost.

Edit: I just found an old post I made were I said nearly the exact same thing. Also found this http://www.stevetek.com/R-FuelSys.html

Everything Is just fine I just can't wait until Spring break-up so I can fine tune my GS-T & up the boost. But It runs great but I'm just running at a conservative 15 pounds of boost until then.

Oh & by the way mine is Blue.

Really my GS-T loves the cold these Turboed cars just love that Cold air going in the intake & the intercoolers definitely love it no doubt but I myself can live without Snow & the Arctic chill for a while.I also have an A/T so the tranny cooler also enjoys the cold.
