Couldn't find any info on this so here goes. I'm in the process of doing a 6 bolt turbo swap to my dsm.
I'm also going from A/T to M/T. I puncured the dust boot on the driver's side driveshaft removing the ball joint from the steering knuckle
, but the splines are also very rusted and don't look like they are salvagable.
So my question is, can I use the non-turbo auto driveshaft in place of the manual turbo one? And if so, will it be able to hold up to the power produced with all the stage 1 upgrade stuff?
I counted the splines on both and they are the same. The only difference I noticed was the diameter of the of the shafts between the CV joints. The donor car is a 91 TSi FWD 5-speed and the car that is being fixed is a 94 GS auto.
Any help would be appreciated.
