I have been taking a lot of time lately to consider what I want to do with my transmission. At first I was considering sending mine out to be rebuilt and have a Quaiffe installed in it. However my friend, also a DSMer, who occassionally lends me an extra hand on my project tells me to get an AWD transmission and convert it for use in my GST.

I haven't really thought about it, but doesn't the AWD come with an LSD already in it, and if it does, what would be my benefit to making this conversion over a re-build of my own (don't say saving money, cost is not an object for me).

I have a 1st gen AWD to play with next, so this GST will stay FWD, besides it is not the Spyder, so I don't think I would even consider trying to AWD it.

I think I will just build the GST tranny, send it out for a Stage 2 and Quaiffe it.

I now wish that when i ordered my T.R.E. tranny with qusiffe that i would have gotten the AWD version so that i wouldn't feel like i'm either stuck with a FWD or feel like i'm wasting 3k dollars by getting an AWD trans for an AWd conversion.
