AWD Got towed...

Hey, apparently I parked in the wrong spot at a friend's apt. tonight and my car was towed... My car is AWD and I was in gear at the time, so they dragged it on to the flatbed (according to someone who saw it). So is my viscous coupling going to be damaged? Or anything like that?

Problaby not. But I would oh so nicely inform the tow truck company of the possible consequences of towing a LSD/AWD wrong

I told the guy the deal, and he replies with "Well you shouldn't have parked there anyways." Oh well, what are you gonna do. So being dragged all of 15 feet wouldn't really do much? Thank god it was a flatbed at least...

If the car wasn't in gear then you would have 0 problems at all. You can tow an awd with all 4 wheels on the ground as much as you want.

Now if the car was in gear and the towing caused the engine to rotate backwards then you may have jumpped time on your cam gears. The tensioner only works when the engine rotates the designed way. Because of this you may want to just check your timing marks when ya get the car back.

Either way the vc is fine. Even if you did have one axle rotating and the other still at the slow speeds that the tow truck wench was moving the car you could pull it a hundred miles before the VC would get hot enough to bind.
