AWD Car /w 1 Driveshaft Removed?

I'm looking into purchasing a AWD Talon and the owner said the drive shaft fell down when driving and had been removed so the car was FWD now. Is there a way to replace this? The owner said a shop removed it for her. What has been done to make it FWD and what do I need to do to convert it back to AWD? A fast response would be great since I'm dealing with someone else. Thanks tuners.

You can't just remove the driveshaft and have the car be fully FWD unless the spider gears in the center differential have been welded. Otherwise, the car will move with the driveshaft removed, but it will act like an open diff so it will feel like the clutch is slipping.

Well I wonder what has been done. The car is 3 hours from me so I can't look at it. It is a woman so I'm not sure how much she even knows, no offense. She said she drove it and it is drivable though. Decisions decisions.

yeah i dont think ive heard of a drive shaft just falling off.. hard to say without much info
