awd 5speed Shifting problem

Ok heres the problem. i have a 93 talon tsi awd 5 speed,hince my name. I blew the motor so i got a motor and tranny out of a wrecked 90 gsx 5speed. everything works but it will not shift into 5th or reverse. im new the the dsm world so i have no clue what the deal is. if anyone can help it would be great. i heard it had something to do with the linkage and crap. and i was wondering how hard it would be to just take the tranny out and put the old one back on it?

you need to adjust your shifter cables, get a haynes/chiltons manual and read how to adjust them.
