London,
Just as a general opinion, how well do 2G dsms hold up in auto cross? Im in canada and if you dont know the 2gs were never sold here. there are a few here but I have never seen one at an event. anyway I know any car can be built to do well, but over all how does the suspension/weight overall hold up? is it worth it to bother or just stick to going in a straigh line.

NOTE Im more or less referring to the FWD turbo

:dsm:

LOL sorry its just habit. I meant the eclipses. anyway thanks for the link!

PS i also have never seen any talons (2gs) at any solo 2

The 2g Talons hold up pretty well, I'm not involved with SOLO events but I do go lapping at our local track very often and the car is amazing. I have bushings, sway bars, G/C coilovers, koni yelloes plus strut bars..

2G's AWD & my FWD Ruled ESP and SM in North Carolina Solo2 since 01

Now that I have the TRE FWD/AWD Gear Box with a Quaiffe I'm going to continue that trend :)

Of course i'm moving the car into more of a Solo1 and Trials Prep.

Follow DG's lead and you'll bring home lots of wood/trophies. Don't expect to see a whole bunch of 2G out there.. it still has a definate niche in ESP and SM

They do fine. I prefer a smaller car with better balance, but my 2g does fine too. Wish I had a smaller turbo (than 16g) for autox though. Seems like I spool up about the time I'm getting ready to brake. Overall grip is good, but transitions slow (heavy, front engine car). Hard to get the thing stopped because it's heavy and there's virtually no weight on the back. BUT, still better than the vast majority of cars that show at autoxes!!!
