I got the guage with the car so I have no instructions and www.autometer.com does no help.

It has 3 wires coming out of it (this is not including the bulb wiring), a red one, a black one with red stripe, and a blue one.
Im assuming the red one is 12v+ power, the black w red stripe is ground, and the blue one goes to the oil pressure sensor.

Am I correct? Anyone have their instructions from their guage?

I'm wondering this too... I just got my guage and I'm clueless as to where the wires go too. Did the sending unit that came with your guage screw right in? I took my stock one off and the autometer one didn't want to screw in, as if it was a little too big in diameter. Weird....

Sounds to me like you have the electric gauge that has a remote sender. What you will need to do is T off your oil feed line from the oil housing and put it in there. It is not designed to be wired up to the stock oil pressure sender nor screw into the hole that the stock oil pressure sender is in.

Generally I find that the senders if hard mounted in a surface like that also get broken and end up being useless after a few months. What you wnat to do to make it last the longest is this.

T the oil pressure housing and run a 2" braided line from the housing (just like you did for your turbo so now you have two lines) to the oil pressure gauge and mount the gauge with a rubber mounter and screw the line in so the vibration from the car and engine won't screw up the sender. THey are pretty sensetive and really like to break. I have 6 used oil pressure gauges sitting at the shop with no sender from this because people just screw it right into the back of their blocks on Hondas and the vibration just destroys them.

The best guage to get is the mechanical one with the nylon tubing which runs right inside the car and reads the pressure mechanically right in the guage. Yeah your running oil right inside the car, however I have never seen one of those lines break even after years of use.

I'm installing mine as I type this and I'm just wondering.... Can't I just get an adapter so the new sending unit will thread into where the stock one was and ditch the stock one all together. I would just have the stock oil pressure wire and the one for the autometer guage going to it. I know the whole vibration thing is an issue ... but with that set aside would it work? I need to know asap so I can finish the install. Thanks.

Remove the dummy light sensor and screw the autometer sensor into there. Leave the stock oil pressure sensor in the bottom. That way you can have both guages.

Im attaching a pic showing where the autometer sensor is installed on my engine. Its right below the alternator, sorry for the crappy pic.

ok gotcha. The original idea of just ditching the stock pressure sendor and putting the new one there instead won't work? I was going to just have the wire for the stock guage and the one for the aftermarket guage go to it.

Yeah that would work, but I just like the idea of having the stock guage to go by to see if the oil pressure is normal. Just until I get an idea of where my oil pressure should read on the aftermarket guage. The dummy light is useless.
