Automatic 1g Idle Adjustment

I just picked up a 93 eclipse with a factory rebuilt 7 bolt and a big 16g. Its an an automatic. When the car is in park it idles at 2k and then when you put it in drive it will drop to 1k. I went to inspection and they failed me because of the idle. How do i adjust the idle when it is in park?

And if that doesnt work (doin that on mine didnt help at all) then check for leaks. My EGR and the line for the BOV on the intake mani were all gone.

Just keep an eye on some of that.
