This is for a 2g AWD DSM

A few quick questions, I've gone through quite a few threads, researched some things on a few sites, and asked people specifically.

Here's what I've got for a D-Stock setup, just want to check to make sure it's legal (street driven in California, and in D-Stock), and get some feedback from anyone that has any experience if these parts are good, reliable, cheaper elsewhere etc.

These are in no specific order

I plan on running stock 17x6.5 wheels, what would you recommend for daily driven tires?

if oyu are on the t25 still you don't need 8es's try 6es instead

Daily driven tire... or autox but streetable tire?
replacing tires how often? 3 mos 6 mos year, couple of years? recommend no bigger than 225/45r17 on the 6.5s and thats pushing it a bit.

DOwnpipes are not legal in Cali... particualarly ones that don't have cats on them...

Have you run yet in Dstock? how many races under your belt? reason I ask is b/c playing with the suspensnion is NOT the first thig I would do... Instead I would drive it as is and get a feel for the car and how it handles so you can address the deficiencies... one ata time, only upgrading once you are acclimated and improved from the last part added.

It will be slower tiem wise, but you will probably wind up a much better driver for it end the end... like 1/4 mile parts are only half of the solution, the other half is tuning things to work together and that includes the "nut behind the wheel" as well.

Looks like it would make a good setup, for ESP (or STX depending on the tires). Most of the mods listed won't be DS legal. As a good rule of thumb, the only stock class mods available are shocks, tires, wheels of the same diameter and width, exhaust after the catalytic converter, air filter in the stock box, and a front sway bar. Plugs and wires are also open. The downpipe and stainless lines (unless the car was made before 1992, which yours isn't) are not going to be legal. You might find that you'll have a lot more fun in ESP or STX. A lot of clubs have more contingency there due to more available modifications. I run my 90 in ESP and have all of the mods that you listed in addition to ground controls, camber plates, and a few other little things. I actually raced yesterday on the worst tires I've ever owned and whooped up on some newer and much more expensive machinery. Attack Eagle is right, go slow and improve the car as you improve. Also, if you do decide to run in a street prepared or street touring class, I think 17x6.5 is a bit narrow. I run 15x7 on my miata and 16x8 on my eclipse.

BTW- You can find the rulebook for solo2 at scca.org
