1G Auto transmission (stock) temp gauge on dome light help with pics

Okay so there's a awd part out and I'm wondering if its possible to use the dome light transmission temp warning thing on my laser , is it electronically controlled via the tcu? Or is there a sender somewhere on the auto trans ? Anyone do this or have the schematics?

There is a temp probe inside the pan. It probably does run though the tcu

I checked the wiring schematics for the 1g and it does run to the tcu (temperature probe from the pan) and from the tcu, it runs up to the light. If the temperature gets too high, the light is activated by code, and transmission goes into limp mode.

Its a worthless light...You need a temp gauge..

I listed the link to the wiring schematics up above. Just choose the right year and open it up. Shows exactly where and wire colors also.
