Wow. Well let me start off by telling you I did a transmission service at the shop I work at a few days ago. Somehow I forgot to tighten the drain plug. Today driving home from town it popped out and started draining. I was nearly home when I noticed something was wrong because the transmission wasnt shifting correctly and the engine was revving like crazy. Hopefully I didn't do any damage because I didn't drive for more than 5 minutes that way and I never went over 25 mph.

Anyways, so now I need to get myself a new one. I called Advanced Auto Parts and they don't carry them. Unless they are the same size as the oil drain plug. I should probably mention im driving a 94 Eagle Talon NA. If the plugs are the same then Advanced Auto Parts should have the plug. I just need to know what size the plug is, anyone have any idea? If they aren't the same size, then does anyone know the size of the auto transmission plug or where they would be availible besides the dealer?

Thanks in advance!
Trevor

Doesn't anyone know if the transmission drain plug and the oil drain plug are the same for the 1G Talons?

I would really appreciate if someone could tell me by tomorrow, hehe, because I'm suppose to drive 500 miles tomorrow and that isn't going to be quite possible with no drain plug.

No extra plugs at the shop you work at? I don't know the size plug, but there aren't that many different thread pitches to try from for a particular size plug. If you work at an auto shop, you guys should have some. If you need to get somewhere quick and can't wait for a response with the exact size, just use good old trial and error till you find one that fits.
