My tranny went out the other day, wont move unless I do a neutral slam, then it moves about 10 feet. Reverse works fine. The tranny never downshifted fast, and usually hung before shifting gears. The other day when I got it towed back, the driver drove it onto the wrecker (pretty good uphill angle) then the driver drove it right off the wrecker and into the garage. My question is, TCU? Torq Converter?

I've got another tranny in my garage, supposedly it runs fine. It has no output shaft and I have no clue how to swap those, so help on that would also be appreciated. I've done a good 20+ manual tranny swaps, automatics are foreign to me.

Tranny swap is a tranny swap. If you've done one before you'll be fine. Sounds like your torque converter to me. Here are some tips to prolonging your transmission in an automatic.

He is one of the most knowledgable people on this site when it comes to transmission. No, actually he is the most knowledgable. There is no comparison.
