Auto trans help

Ok guys my first question is if the trans was in limp mode would I have a check engine light on? My second is the car has a fresh rebuilt bottom end and got it all back togather and on the street and while driving it feels like its bogging down while first accelerating then when I get up to about 25 or so the 16g kicks inand it runs great. I know I should be using a wide band but for now I just have a run of the mill air/fuel ration and a maft v2.01 could this issue be caused by a bad maft setting or to much fuel cause it goes straight to rich when I accelerate.

O forgot to mention that its a 1g fwd auto and I'm running 450cc with the stock fuel pressure regulator that is stock at 43psi I believe and a manual ecm that's why I'm using the 450's

You need the manual FPR is docks it down to 37psi. You are most likely running rich.
