Auto trans help...ASAP!

I was changing the trans filter out right now. I pulled the pan off and saw this!

The filter was not oem, but about 3-5 years old.

Im having issues with low rpm/load shifts. The fluid I put in was oem sp3 with Lubegard.

Also anyone know exactly where the shift pressure adjustment is? I cannot find it.

And yes I'm planning on buying a whole new trans soon....

Damn thats alot of sludge. make sure you clean the oil pan with a degreaser before putting it in.

The shift pressure adjusment knob is located on the side of the valve body(first picture). its a little knob that you can turn with a 4mm socket. There is another knob on the upper side of the valve body(second picture) which helps you increase pressure but you won't be able to get to it unless you remove the valve body.

If you want to change shift firmness; you need to turn the knob clockwise. The closer the spring is to the valve body the stiffer you shift will be. Unless you have an upgraded valve body I wouldn't really recommend doing anything to it.
