auto trans fluid in the gas tank HELP!

he guys my dumb ass friend put atf in my gas tank last year so as to keep the gas from goin terribly bad( i know dumb idea) and now ive put in a new motor(no not because of the atf) and the atf is still making the car smoke. ive pumped out all the gas which had a red hue to it and put in new gas and it still smokes. does anyone know of something i could run through my fuel system to clean the atf out?

fill the tank with gasoline and a can of fuel treatment, also a new fuel filter.

If that doesn't work take it to a shop that repairs gas tanks and have them clean it.
