I have a 1990 plymouth laser n/t auto as a winter beater. Earlier this summer, it had a problem where every once in a while you would be driving, come to a stop, and then not be able to go forward at all. reverse would work. If i waited a while it would work. It went to a transmission shop, and it wouldnt act up so they couldnt do anything. they changed the tranny fluid, etc. I have driven it problem free since late summer. Now, its doing it again, only reverse doesnt work either. You put it into gear, and it wont move. Rev it up to 4 or 5k and hold it there and it starts inching forward. I do not think its a blown tranny beause if i waited a week it would probably work again. please help!
