auto tranny problems

Ok I have looked in the forums. Here's my issue my car won't go into overdrive it shifts through the rest of the gears fine but when it goes to shift into overdrive it just like shifts into neutral. I have a spare TCU that I swapped in and no luck. I also thought maybe the o/d switch so I swapped out that and still no luck. Any help is appreciated.

I had similar problems over a year ago with my auto trans. I did basic maint. to include cleaning the valve body, changing A/T filter, and new fluid. Shifting like new since then. Hope it helps you and turns out to be an easy/cheap fix. If not, then it might be your end clutch. Search on that and read up on it, that seems to be an fairly easy fix too, but first try the basics.

It could just need a good cleaning of the valve body but most of the time the symptom your describing is a case of needing a new end clutch setup from the research I have done looking to resolve my auto trans woes.

You may have smoked your End Clutch. It is replaceable with the tranny in the car.
End Clutch Install.
Obviously, I would change the fluid/filter, too.

Hey guys thanks for the help I changed the fluid, filter, and end clutch which was shot with warped plates and worn out discs. thanks again
