Auto Tranny Problems

How screwed is the trans? Basically it won't shift into 3rd gear. Is it possible to just rekit the trans? I've also heard that the overdrive may have went out on it. Has anyone ever heard of this? Just trying to figure out how bad off I am. Any other reasons that would cause this?

does the trans shift fine otherwise?? is so it may just be something simple like the "end clutch".....i've rebuilt these trans before and it's not really that expensive for a kit and it's not that bad to install if you know what your doing and you have a "VERY CLEAN" area and time to do it right.

Yeah it shifts into 2nd normally, after that nothing. How much does this kit cost? And what exactly does it include to replace?
