So today while driving my car decided to act up. It shifts fine between 1-3rd but when going into 4th its as if just slips and will not engage at all. After a few stop a go attempts still same response, drove home with OD off, car drive's fine but no 4th gear. Reset the battery and took a drive with OD on and same results no 4th gear just slipping. I am assuming it should be a faulty TCU not 100% sure though, any input would be appreciated.

Ok,thanks for the quick resonse. Any idea what price range I would be looking at to repair? Need to figure out if would be easy and cheaper just to do a 5-speed swap.

Just got the link, Thank You.

Well its pretty easy to tackle it on your own actually. the hardest part about it is putting back the snap ring. Usually it requires a press to do it. If you do evrything yourself and head over to a transmission shop they should be able to put in the snap ring for you in about a minute.

Ok so i got the end clutch and installed but still no OD. One thing i noticed is that the final snap ring that goes over the pressure is plate is not sitting right. Would the ring cause it to still slip if it came loose within the housing?

Issue fixed, thanks to john from itp,who ensured it would be the snap ring causing issue.luckily seals still in tact.
